At road.cc, every product has been thoroughly tested, as long as you can correctly understand its working conditions. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists and we believe they are objective. Although we strive to ensure that the opinions expressed are supported by facts, the comments are essentially an informed opinion, not a final ruling. We will not deliberately try to destroy anything (except locks), but we do try to find any weaknesses in the design. The total score is not just the average of the other scores: it reflects the function and value of the product-the value depends on how the product compares with items of similar specifications, quality, and price.

Good grades are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad.

The Specialized Men's RBX softshell jacket is warm and comfortable, soft and fits the skin, and has an excellent windproof effect. Its breathability is also very good, it is a very good choice in many days in the UK, as long as a slightly looser tailoring suits you.

In this regard, Specialized rarely mentions that it is for the "shoulder season", I think it actually means spring and autumn, although in most parts of the UK, you can also extend it to most of the winter. Obviously, it depends on what you pair RBX with, but as long as it is mostly dry, it won't go beyond its depth until you reach around 0°C.

At the other extreme, temperatures can reach up to around 15°C. Although it may sweat, it breathes well and does not feel clammy or uncomfortable even then. This may cover 95% of our fall, spring, winter and summer...

The fit is slightly loose-I found it loose enough to fold a little on my chest and abdomen, and it won't lie flat on my forearms. However, it does not wobble or cause any discomfort, and at least leaves room for the bulky layer below.

In fact, it does cause a small problem: in the horizontal folds, the raindrops cannot roll off. Therefore, the shower always soaks the seams between my elbows and chest first.

On the bright side, it takes a while to do so, and it takes a long time or heavy rain to really penetrate. You might wear a raincoat at that time.

The structure and fabric feel very strong; the stitching is great, the soft lining fits the skin and feels lovely, and the overlock seams will not cause any problems at all.

The height and width of the collar are also well judged, which proves effective without strangling you. The "fancy rope" zipper pull looks a bit clumsy, but it works well.

RBX is not a cheap jacket, but even the high-value brand dhb's Aeron All Winter Softshell is only 30 pounds less than 120 pounds, while Rivero Thorncombe is 160 pounds-if more loose than that-and Rapha Pro Team The Winter jacket is 180 pounds.

And you can go higher: for example, Castelli Alpha RoS 2 is 300 pounds.

This is a warm, windproof but very breathable jacket, very suitable for the shoulder season and (probably) the off-shoulder season. It feels strong, protective and durable. As long as you don't mind a slightly loose cut, it's a good choice.

Comfortable, breathable and comfortable-very suitable for use in cold, wind and rain conditions, not extreme

Tell us the purpose and target audience of this jacket. What is the manufacturer's comment on this? How does this compare to your own feelings?

Specialized said: "Although it is easy to find the perfect jacket at both ends of the temperature range, the temperature range in between is where you spend most of your time on the road-this is the highlight of the RBX softshell jacket. It is elastic, windproof and waterproof, ensuring you stay warm during the shoulder season."

Tell us more about the technical aspects of the jacket?

Three back pockets help meet all your riding needs, right where you want it.

Fabric composition front 88% polyester, 12% polyurethane-other: 84% polyamide, 16% elastane

As you might expect, it is only waterproof, but the water droplets are good. It can even withstand repeated showers impressively.

It's quite relaxing, so it's not the most aerodynamic, but it won't be slapped or tied up. The length of the torso and the length of the sleeves are good. It also leaves room for the bulky layer below.

Suitable for this level of protection.

It's great-it keeps wind, keeps warm, and breathes smoothly.

The only small problem: brighter colors will be good, and the fit may be a little slimmer.

How does the price compare to similar products on the market (including products tested recently on road.cc)?

It's not the cheapest, but it's not outrageous. The high-value brand dhb’s Aeron All Winter Softshell is priced at 120 pounds, which is 30 pounds lower, while Rivelo Thorncombe is priced at 160 pounds — if more loose than that — and the Rapha Pro Team Winter Jacket is priced at 180 pounds, but you can pay more. More: Castelli’s Alpha RoS 2 is £300.

This is a warm and comfortable soft shell, very comfortable in the medium to garbage temperature that the UK is good at. It is well-made and looks great, although the fit is looser than you think, it does maintain a comfortable and bulky layer. There really is nothing to dislike seriously.

Damn right. So this movie seems to have done nothing but inciting division...

Not particularly. The world leaders are just delusional.

I think 1,000 usually unpleasant posts suggest that you live in a glass house and should not throw the first stone.

I came here to see Nigel become his usual troll, and I was not disappointed. Because the cyclist responded, the driver was pardoned. And also made up things.

One of the best things Bristol can do is walk around and replace all those dumb orange screw-in wands with permanent wands that are properly bolted to the road...

No, it claims to be "fixed" with a ratchet strap, but they believe that some of the pallets where the bricks are located have been damaged during loading...

Decent protection and well-made, but poor pocket design and shorter-than-average tail let it down

Breathable and very waterproof, it can do everything that more expensive jackets do

Great for many British winter rides and attractive prices

Not the most breathable jacket, but versatile and waterproof
